Louwman Museum participates in the 34th Gran Premio Nuvolari
From 19 to 22 September 2024, the Louwman Museum participated in the 34th edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari, a historic rally in honour of legendary racing driver Tazio Nuvolari. The museum drove the classic Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport Testa Fissa, a car with a rich racing history, through the beautiful Italian countryside.
Day 1: From Mantua to Modena
The rally started in Mantua, where the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Testa Fissa was ready to start. The first day took the team along Lake Garda and through winding mountain roads towards Verona. The day ended with the arrival in Modena, after a beautiful drive through the countryside. The team enjoyed the first day of the event, full of varied roads and fine moments.
Day 2: Heading towards the coast in Rimini
On the second day, the route started again in Mantua and continued to Arezzo, before the team drove on to Rimini. The roads were winding and provided an interesting challenge for the Alfa Romeo, but the team managed to drive on well. The day ended at the coast in Rimini, where everyone could look back on a successful second stage.
Day 3: Back to Mantova with some challenges
On the final day, the team left Rimini for the final stage back to Mantova. However, the rain caused some unexpected adjustments to the route. The team had to improvise through unfamiliar roads, but eventually reached the finish in Mantova without any problems. This success was rewarded with third place in the Dutch classification.
