KAMPIOENENMAKERS. 50 years of Van Amersfoort Racing.
From pioneer Huub Rothengatter to global star Max Verstappen. From December 19 2025 through January 18 2026 the Louwman Museum in The Hague presents the anniversary exhibition KAMPIOENENMAKERS.
The exhibition honors the Dutch racing team that grew in half a century into an international talent house and a proven springboard toward Formula One. Visitors follow fifty years of racing history through iconic race cars that show the evolution of Van Amersfoort Racing, from the first Formula Ford from 1975 to today’s F2 machines.
Learn about the cars in which drivers such as Huub Rothengatter, Marcel Albers, Jos Verstappen, Tom Coronel, Bas Leinders, Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Oliver Bearman, Franco Colapinto and Dion Gowda achieved their early successes. The exhibition shows how VAR guided and inspired generations of drivers on their way to the top.
