Pieter ‘Piet’ van der Hem was a Dutch painter, draftsman and binding designer. Van der Hem belonged to the Modern Art Movement and found his inspiration in the fashionable nightlife of Paris, Rome, Madrid and Moscow. He was also an illustrator and political cartoonist in the Dutch newspapers “De Haagsche Post” en “De Haagsche Courant”.
Spyker Cars is a Dutch manufacturer of highly exclusive hand-built super sports cars established in 1880 and founded by two blacksmith brothers, Hendrik Jan and Jacobus Spyker. The original Spyker company ceased to exist in 1925 but was resurrected in 2000.
