Montfermeil Franceville
Lithography on paper
Francisco Nicolas Tamagno was an Italian portrait painter and poster artist, active in France between 1880 and 1914. He attended the School of Fine Arts in Paris and worked mainly with the Parisian printing works of Victor Camis. Later in 1905 he moved to the Gallice printing press.
One of his most famous designs was ‘Pierrot’ for the Cointreau brand. He also designed many posters for Terrot Cycles, a company with a clear advertising concept: speed.
This poster printed by Camis, is promoting rural land sales in Montfermeil. The perfect location for a second house for Parisians as they can now easily commute by automobile between their residences.
